Dachstein Cross-Country Ski Race 2027 – taking part is what matters!
Ramsau am Dachstein has been a benchmark in Nordic sports for years in the Schladming-Dachstein region, in Styria, and throughout Austria. A new chapter in this success story was written with the premiere of the DACHSTEINLAUF in 2024. Blessed with bright sunshine and optimal snow conditions, the event attracted nearly 1,000 cross-country skiing enthusiasts over two days, turning the World Championship cross-country stadium into a meeting point for the ambitious Nordic skiing community.
From January 15 to 17, 2027, the Ramsau plateau will once again be dedicated to cross-country skiing. “The full experience in one race” is the promise of the 40 km course, which runs through the picturesque landscape of Ramsau am Dachstein. For those who specialize in shorter distances, the 10 km course provides an ideal platform—especially as it also features a dedicated team format. All participants start at the same time, but team members do not have to cross the finish line together.
The DACHSTEINLAUF embraces the spirit of recreational cross-country skiing and motivates sports enthusiasts to become part of this unique event. A diverse supporting program—from children’s races to culinary enjoyment runs—as well as various competitions ensure that skiers of all levels, from professionals to hobby athletes to nature lovers, can find the right challenge.
Anyone can take part. Everyone can be there.
